Hey hey hey, look at that grayscale! I have leveled up! (awards self the Carbon Badge) Finally got another major piece of info to get the art to where I want it to go. I love these moments when you work and work and it seems like you get nowhere and then finally, finally it clicks! Celebrate with me! (also watch the Patreon tutorial where I explain what my missing ingredient was) Story wise, well...hold on to your hats, especially if you're wearing a big poofy chef's hat. Here we go!

Synopsis:
Aging telepath Evil Overlord Xander has traded his youthful dream of joining the US military and using his superpowers to benefit humanity for over-the-hill cynicism, self-imposed exile on his private zoo-for-crazy-people Eynhallow Island, and a serious case of May-December midlife crisis. And technically it's only kidnapping if she tries to leave.

I love how guido can get his point across like, with an eyebrow waggle. of all the staff, he's the guy who is utterly unbothered by xander's powers.

It's interesting how this is working. I get the feeling Xander was actually distracted before realizing Kore was up to something. So there are some limits to him, after all; at least, that's my impression.

He's human. I mean he sleeps at night and eats dinner, may have a problematic relationship with alcohol etc. Also Kore's watching his every move here, so he could just be feigning surprise in order to accelerate his plans. But I think he's genuinely surprised too...though I think it's by something other than the surface explanation, but I can think of at least three explanations for the surprise...all to be revealed in good time!

nah, look at my new grayscale process. Leveled up, I say! I love it when art improvement also equals faster production time! Real bonus: it takes about 20 minutes per old comic to update the grayscale. So I can level up this entire 125 comic behemoth in...one standard workweek.

I think he is stealing away her energy or something. Like Xander said there's no fixing him, that he's "broken", so what if Xander afraid of the possibility of Shane taking his power away and destroying him. It would certainly explain why Xander isn't trying to help him and keeps him locked up and doesn't want to let Core to him. It's like he know what Shane is capable of doing to them and that she is weak for him so it would be easier to attack her.
