I think my very very first taste of Gundam Wing as a kid was the episode when Zechs tests this thing out for the first time. I loved that this suit was so hard on the pilot they had to strip down the design.
Will be showcasing this piece for the first time at the Fan Expo Canada next week! Along with all these other torn up suits:

It's the Grand MacDaddy of all Mobile Suits, the venerable Tallgeese. Hats off in salute to the elder statesman who can still kick butt and take names!

Elder Statesman of the Wing Universe ya mean? This and its later forms were some of my best units in Cross Rays (Seriously, put Zechs/Milliardo in a Tallgeese/Epyon and let 'em loose...Nothing touches 'em).

She never had a Gundam. She used a Leo, Aries (Her most well known suit), Cancer, Pisces, Taurus (Another well known suit she's used cuz it was White) and...the Mercurius? (Reading off the wiki).

I know, I just reckon she deserved her own Gundam - if she could break even with Zechs in standard OZ suits she would have rocked in a Gundam!

If I recall correctly, either she made herself worse to make Zechs look good or Zechs thinks she's way better than she lets on. Either way, Zechs and I agree. She's a keeper.
She did manage to bust out two kids from him. Like they had twins.

I introduced a friend to Gundam Wing the other day - his reaction after Episode 2 was that it was addictive, and had aged well. I was really looking forward to seeing Noin debut in Episode 4, and she did not disappoint. And yeah, Zech's conviction was that she played down her own abilities to make him look better.

Which Gundam in this series did you like the best? You can include the EW redesigns too. I liked the Wing Gundam EW (Katoki version) personally.

From the Gundams, I really liked Heavy Arms and the Katoki Wing Zero. From Mobile Suits in general, Tallgesse and the humble Leo all my all-time faves. Tallgeese rules, and the Leo feels like the most 'realistic' giant mecha I've ever seen in media, as if a M1 tank decided to grow legs and stand up!
I've actually got a collection of MS models on the shelf over my desk right now, all Katoki Perfect Grade desgins - Epyon, Sandrock, Heavyarms, Wing Zero, Tallgeese and Deathscythe, plus two HG Leos. Shenlong is in the box awaiting construction - my brother buys me one kit every year for Christmas, and all I need now is Wing to complete the set! Tallgeese looks particularly sweet when paired with the two little Leos!

Yes Zechs getting in the Tallgeese and blasting off full throttle for the first time was just so cool.
He became my favorite character from then on because he was using a prototype and still giving the Gundam pilots hell.
