Description

This one is pretty heavily inspired by the general vibe of the state seal.

Minnesota is known as “The North Star State”, so I’ll give you three guesses what the big star represents. The chain link circle symbolises unity and strength, but all those rings can also be seen as a group of small lakes – fitting for the land that has ten thousand of them. There are 32 links because Minnesota was the 32nd state to join the Union. From a distance the whole emblem also kind of looks like a compass pointing north, further referencing Minnesota’s status as the northernmost of the contiguous states, but that’s honestly a bit of a stretch.
