Actually, Smough is fucking Jacked! If you look at Smough's character art, dude is ripped, in fact, he has to use pretty thick suspenders in order to hold up his armor's leggings. The armor is fat, but the man inside is not.

At the beginning of this strip they were inside Demon's Souls and had to jump to Dark Souls to find Gwinevere (hopefully I spelled it properly) and since her Black Knight Set was "broken" it was probably the same for her whether to go in underwear or skimpy armor.
Yeah, they broke the fourth wall various times. The guy with the Elite Knight Helmet even says "after all we're in the PS3" in the first strip of "Saved By The Princess", so...
