Here is the Kaylee doll that I made for my good friend Kate. You can see MANY MORE pictures of her here [link] just so insanely proud of myself that I took a lot of pictures before I sent it to her, and now that she has it (and likes it, yay!) I can post them without ruining the surprise.

Her body is made of felt, which was a bad idea because it's lumpy and raveled really badly. She's sewn by hand, hence all of the lumpy, painfully visible seams, and I embroidered her face. Note the adorable Kaylee buns. I couldn't find a teddy-bear patch, so I made my own, as well as a little strawberry (she was going to also have a little stuffed wrench, but that didn't go so well).

Kaylee is from the amazing Firefly television series, created by Joss Whedon.
