Well it has been a while since ive done traditional and honestly im happy to be at it some more. For some who may or may not know, I started as a traditional artist and grew to learn digital in a self taught manner. For the record, I love BOTH traditional and digital and I am so grateful I never left either of their roots because I can continue to expand my art in different styles and format. So here was something that crossed my imagination last night which was a retro kinda take on Sonic. And for the record I kinda love his look I gave him hhnnggg
You might also notice Sonic in anatomy style has changed and thats because im working on a more pop out style with my sonic art so you may start to notice their sculpts becoming different like muzzles and arms/legs BUT im sure when I want to focus on "official" looking pieces I'll make them more sonic Sega based but for now, this is what im working with and will continue to work with to improve my style that I feel suits me best! The only thing that I did not draw on this is the filter itself because I really wanted it to look retro/vintage since that was the overall perspective on this piece and I couldn't do it manually and this wasn't a digital piece sooooo, yeah. I'm a filter fraud. XD Anyways I'm done talking now and typing words that im sure not many will read but thats okay! ^u^ I hope you guys overall like this piece!
