Description For the past week, none of the fractals I've worked with have wanted to go anywhere.  I got bored of that today and it finally went somewhere  Once I saw that the figure shape could be isolated and colored by itself, my mental thought process was "there's a figure with some lighting effects in a cave gogogo."  It might have been influenced by what I was listening to at the time, mainly due to the atmosphere of the music.

It's totally not a statement on me moving to an apartment tomorrow, as I'm not moving into a cave!

I'm greatful to my teachers for showing me different kinds of art even though I've never had an art teacher... otherwise I wouldn't appreciate this image. It's a wonderful medium that doesn't do too well in flashy advertisements, lol.

I guess it's like an everlasting gobstopper, but for sight instead of taste!

I'm sure it could serve to be a major attention-grabber as some form of advertisement, maybe for a game or something, at least somewhere online.  That being said, I'd expect properly negotiated payment prior to it being used in such a way XD

For the most part, art teachers made me dislike art when I was younger because "it required patience" and because "I was too hyper for them."  I forged my own way doing digital artwork, which I enjoyed due to the lack of formal structure and the ability to do things on my own terms.  I had some very amazing art teachers in college though, and I did learn a lot from the few classes I took on art.

This particular form of artwork I find infinitely engaging, incredibly challenging, and sometimes very rewarding as well.  It can accomplish so much, yet is highly abstract...but I do try to push the limit of what I can do with it in trying to represent emotions and concepts.

That's a very good analogy, actually.  I think I'll have to keep that somewhere

Just came to say I love your art! I honestly can't say I see a cave; to me this is an angel diving into battle against a sea of demons who have brought Hell to Earth.

Yeah, it's a bit darker than what I usually make, but the atmosphere provided just what I was looking for!

Thank you! This particular color scheme is slightly darker/more moody than what I usually work with, bit I really like how it turned out myself!

Thanks  One part of working with an abstract medium, in my opinion, is that the goal is to focus on emotion and energy.  Although I provide my own interpretation of a piece of work (sometimes minimally through solely title, other times explained a bit more like in this image), I always enjoy hearing that people find interesting things within something that I have created!

Many tihngs So far I've seen a cobra and gorilla fighting, a person with a light in a cave, and the scene from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince where Dumbledore is getting rid of the Inferi.

Your work is too good! How do you make them like paintings?

I've gone spelunking before, and I will say that caves can be rather interesting and impressive.  The lack of power ... and internet ... would be a bit too much though!

Hahaha! I would feel the same way!! >u<

But I'd still love to wander around some caves, even if it's just once.

Well, Boy Scouts back in the day -- we did caving trips every year -- though they were hard work!  And cave dust gets eeeeeeverywhere, and disabled one of my flashlights on one trip, but as I had three of them with me, it was all good! XD

There are "tourist" caves (Luray Caverns for instance), but I prefer going off the beaten path (squeezing though places and nearly getting stuck is a thing too XD), seeing and exploring rather than being roped into an area where tons of people stand in and look at things.

Just keep it on a bucket list somewhere, and you'll get around to it at some point hopefully

Something about this speaks to me. Very reminiscent of an abstract Amano. I dig it.

Thank you very much!  It's a bit more subdued and soft (intentionally) than what I usually create, but I am very happy with how it turned out.

I'm not familiar with Amano, unfortunately, so could you perhaps point me in a direction to see some of what this person has done?

Very interesting, and cool, art style.  Something seemed familiar about that style, so I did a quick wiki and read that he did some art for Final Fantasy, which would be where I've seen samples of it before.  Thanks for sharing!
