I tried something new with the wings; I'm trying to get more depth into my pictures. I quite like the result! But the paws were a mild failure, haha, I modified them for gripping better and they just look weird.Also texturing wood is awesome fun. I'm not kidding!

That's a fair point, the neck is a bit extra-fluffy here. Glad someone likes the claws!
Partly. It made me want to do a wing study, so I took a half-existing idea and modified it.

Gorgeous (and cute!) picture! I love your composition; I love all the curved lines of the tail and the wing leading out of the picture, and how the wings are the focus of the piece. I think you have a decent understanding of the wings, but if you want to add more depth, I suggest a more modulated line rather than the old outlined look. Sometimes when you make every line the same intensity, it flattens the picture. But overall, I love the concept and the flow of the piece

Wow, thank you for such a detailed comment and crit! That's a good point about line intensity - it's an effect that's hard to achieve with a biro. I think I'll experiment with pencilling the guidelines and see if I can't do better. Thanks!
