Short story/paragraph:

The forest was peaceful. The only sounds were the occasional bird call, the trickle of a tiny creek, and the soft paw-steps of a Thunderclan warrior. The ginger and white she-cat could barely hear the birds singing as she stalked a vole near the creek. She watched as the vole groomed its face and paws, then scampered towards the bank. The warrior crouched, and then leaped! She landed with a thud on the pebbles and scowled as the vole bounded away into the undergrowth. She looked down into the slowly moving water. Lostface growled and swatted away the gruesome reflection. She wished she could be normal again, have smart pointed ears, two glowing eyes, and a comforting face. She wished Swiftpaw was back, and she wished the dogs had never come.
