The second pic in my universal monsters series. right after creature from the black lagoon. this is my 2nd favorite universal monster movie, that and of course frankenstein. so I hope everone likes my companion pic to my creature from the black lagoon. next will be frankenstein!!Related content

the background was done in 8 different lays, I wanted the pic to have the animated feel so I knew that one had to have the painted look, so the figure stood out more. So using some nature pics as a guide as well, I went about creating a cold dark environment for Drac to be in. I layed over some real branches and then painted them with two different brushes to get the desired effect I was looking for with some cold dark blues.

Creepy goodness! The concept is carried off well! I like the little eyes coming from his darkness, and the trickle of blood at the bottom...! The background is outstanding! In fact this looks almost like an animation cel put over a more realistic-looking background!

HAhaha Thanks! Thats what I was going for . I did the pic while watching vampire hunter D, a fav movie of mine. so I was inspired by that. that cel look. One brush I made, and the other I found on deviant for the trees. I messed up on the left side by putting the wrong layer on another, but it became a happy mistake. I'm glad you like the Terry and Alan Part.
