I can't believe I haven't seen something like this pop up yet within the fandom, especially because Ruffnut has the hair for the nouveau style. Well, issue amended, here she is. Hope you luff it
OK and for those who don't know what art nouveau is, it's a style of art that was popular in the guilded age (late 1800's early 1900's) and was popularized by Alphonse Mucha, and means 'New art' in French. Image search it on Google and you will see the style

Wow! I love this art style! You did such a fantastic job with it, too! I love the swirling of Ruffnut's hair and the Viking knotwork style border of the Zippleback. Something about it reminds of the classic "Salome" illustration that is also Art Noveau, I believe.
Thanks also for the explanation. I know the style but not its origin. My biggest experience of it is the Norwegian town of Alesund in the fjord region. The town's buildings were destroyed in a fire, so the entire town was rebuilt in the early 1900s in Art Noveau style.

That sounds amazing to see a whole town in art nouveau architechture! I wish I could find the viking pattern I used for the Zippleback, it was carved into a wall I think when I searched 'Viking Pattern' and it was perfect for the zippleback and art nouveau look. I might try a similar thing with Astrid but Ruff was a natural first choice due to the fun hair

I still don't know what nouvaeu is but it looks pretty badass. Man, I really wish I could have seen you draw this so I could know the secret. I love that Zippleback too! And her hair! The more I stare at this the more awesome it becomes! This is fantastic!
