If there was one thing I would change about this, it would be making Chrysalis an Earth pony instead of a unicorn.Β After all, wouldn't she be less dangerous if she didn't have magic at all?Β Well, it's your AU.

I have my own vision on how I would make sure Chrysalis and Tirek would not cause any more trouble but this is an interesting take. How would they live with being locked out of the unique abilities they had from their old forms?

I think they'd stay ponies until they got redempted, then they could choose whether to turn back into their true selves or live as ponies... they'd probably try to trick Discord n pones into believeing they changed just so they can get their forms back... but eventually change for real cuz they love each other now

Sounds fair. I would have them stay in their true selves but Chrysalis's and Tirek's magic would be suppressed until they can be trusted by others. Like in your pic, they would not take it well at the start. They would also get the typical house arrest and parole treatment with a crap ton of being supervised at all times.
They would try to say that they only "liked" each other because Discord told them to do so but eventually there will be times when they stand up for one another and even ask to be with each other. They don't want to admit it, but during the times they were working together to take over Equestria, they were really feeling like they were the only ones in the world who understood one another.

Oh, I fully agree. I can just imagine them getting attached to each other and then standing up for each other with like "um i-it's not like I like you or anything, baka! I just am only one allowed to pick on you!" and it'd be so super sweetΒ

Maybe they wanted to? We're gonna have to wait to see if they're up for questioning after the finale airs in the states. Regardless of what their answers might be, it wouldn't be wrong to headcanon them getting redeemed after the events of the finale.
