Hey thanks for the comments. As for the poses I really don't remember. I didn't spend a lot of time referencing. Just finding forms first. Then when I had trouble I looked at some random sword fighting images. I notice the more I reference the stiffer my pieces are. But You have to reference at some point to build your visual sandbox. It's hard to be knowledgeable with all subject matters. If I don't do characters for while I need to study for a bit then it all comes back.
What I do remember about these sketches is that I had a lot of fun doing them because it wasn't tied to a deadline or a client. It's amazing what pressure can do. And what you can do without it. Still learning and still practicing.
