Description I did these concept sketches for a good friend of mine. He was a character designed for a role playing game. Kind of looks like snake eyes.

Awesome. These studies have more character in them than my finished work!
Where did you find the variety of poses? They're really good!

Hey thanks for the comments. As for the poses I really don't remember. I didn't spend a lot of time referencing. Just finding forms first. Then when I had trouble I looked at some random sword fighting images. I notice the more I reference the stiffer my pieces are. But You have to reference at some point to build your visual sandbox. It's hard to be knowledgeable with all subject matters. If I don't do characters for while I need to study for a bit then it all comes back.

What I do remember about these sketches is that I had a lot of fun doing them because it wasn't tied to a deadline or a client. It's amazing what pressure can do. And what you can do without it. Still learning and still practicing.

You're welcome.
It's funny how sometimes an awesome concept comes out when there isn't any pressure on. Rock on
