Description
The first painting I did in a loooooong while, and a very important one at that. This is it, the painting that starts it all in my in-progress story Endlands. The main character Alden sees this in a dream and, being a painter, paints, thus catapulting him unwillingly into a downward spiraling story. Obviously, Alden can paint much better than me, so picture this, but better rendered, and there you go. Still, for being painted by me, I pretty pleased with how it came out. I'm debating doing a more true-to-life version of the same landscape, since as Alden sees it and as it's painted here it's a little stylized (ie, the actual Endlands don't have checkerboard hills, but that's how I initially saw it in a dream, so that's how Alden initially sees it too). Hopefully the story itself follows soon.
