I think Nikon is a great company! It isn't Olympus or Kodak and that is what makes me content...
And yeah, my newest lens is a Nikkor lens (18-135mm) and man was that expensive... >_<

Olympus aren't bad, but the optics overpasses the rest of the camera, Nikon has balanced cameras, good sensor (not like the terrible ones mounted by Panasonic) and more than decent optics, in addition the D50's noise level is almost a miracle ^_^

overall i like the things i see here, yet with almost all of your deviations there's this white outline aside of the picture, that only is what i dislike, black would look better i think

The white frame (and the black one) are choosed to avoid contrast with the image and "stealthing" attention ^_^
