Ah yes, that old culinary dispute.
I don't know about english, but in French, every fruit OR vegetable that is used as a vegetable in cuisine is called a vegetable- tomatoes, pumpkin, peas, et caetera, whereas they are biologically speaking fruits.
This simple fact can be related to the typical french food relations: HAUTE CUISINE RULES AND I LOVE FRENCH FOOD
