HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA.

*demonsfearme agreed to let me color this beautiful piece here: [link] as a tribute to my grandfathers and my country of America. Both of my grandfathers were part of the military, my Mom's dad was Navy, and my Dad's dad was Army I believe. I don't have much of a relationship with either of my grandfathers. They weren't exactly the "come around and see you" type. Sure they came for birthdays and sometimes recitals and Christmas, but other than that I hardly saw them. When I discovered Hetalia I revived my desire to do more for my country. I remembered too late that my grandfathers had been part of the military I so admired. By then, I'd already lost one of my grandfathers. I often regret not finding Hetalia sooner. If I had, I wonder if I could have had more of a relationship with my grandfather before he died. Now I can only strive to create one with my remaining grandfather. This grandfather never did go to Vietnam, but he was stationed in the Philippines for quite some time. This is for my grandfathers, and for all the other service men out there, retired or still service. May God bless you.
