Ooo, love this. I think the sepia-toned one makes a rusty atmosphere (and combined with the complex style, reminds me of some of the old MTG art), but with b&w your imagination fills it more. Hard to decide, I'll settle on both being the best?Β Β

i can tell that you really enjoyed drawing this. This is just guessing but I'm imagining that you were drawing and you just kept adding and adding and adding..Β
heh, i've had one of those experiences before. anyway, while the technique is good, the thing that really draws me to this is just how "fun" it seems and that kind of thing only shows when the artist is really having fun his/herself. I could be wrong haha but anyway, this is amazing
