I've never played a single fallout game but one of my friends told me I has a really interesting grimdark story. I need to finish the other fanfics Im reading before I jump into that one. ;~;

You don't need to have played ANY of the Fallout games to enjoy Fallout: Equestria, the story itself can easily stand on it's own "hooves" as it were, and is a very enjoyable read. All you really need is knowledge of MLP which your profile picture already suggests, it would help to have passing knowledge of the games more specifically Fallout 3 but again it is not necessary.
I highly suggest you read it. Then, when you're hooked and find yourself pining for more you should try jumping to Fallout Equestria Project Horizons. It's pretty much the unofficial sequel.
