I feel very sad if Mr. Whiskers died, i was hoping, he would be normal in the end. The transformΒ has taught a painful impression.

As a cat lover, when Mr Whiskers changes then ultimately dies, it really gets to me too.

Yeah, it bugs me that the other characters' situations never got resolved. It just stops at Sparky, and that's the end of the film. That could've opened a lot of potential for Victor to make new friends and have his enemies admit they were wrong. All these characters had potential to go all out on their personalities, and while they were expressed really well in the film, there was more they could've done with it.
BTW, I'm pissed at Brave winning Best Animated Film over Wreck-it-Ralph, too. -_- I think the Academy chose it not only because it was Pixar, but it seemed the most noble to honor a movie about a strong, independent woman than a movie about video games or dead animals and such. What a bunch of elitist snobs...
Luckily, true moviegoers have real taste. Calling Brave something spectacular is a bit of false advertising, and I'd rather have a movie be known for its obscure truths than its famous lies.

This is SO sad and moving...and I felt exactly the same way. The fact that she had lost her living cat was never addressed or acknowledged at all (at least we could see that Nassor and Toshiaki were crushed all over again by the second deaths of their animals), and I found that kind of upsetting. What about her feelings? I sorta wish they'd left in the idea of him having one last psychic dream about the two of them...the one that foretold his demise. R.I.P., Mr. Whiskers.
Brave and Frankenweenie were my favorite films of last year, but ParaNorman and Wreck-It-Ralph are also very strong and worthy considerations...I think it WOULD be nice if another besides the obvious choice of Brave were to be honored with the other major film award. I'd be especially glad if that one were Frankenweenie! (Gosh, Disney's involved with 3 of the 4...how unsurprising! XD)

Nice work and they really did get snubbed. They were both great films.

Aw, that's so sad! In the Frankenweenie screenplay by John August, Mr. Whiskers actually did dream about Weird Girl, but it was the day the kids decided to bring their pets back to life. So I guess he did dream that something big would happen to her: he'd die. I wish Mr. Whiskers had been given a second chance or something!
