Description When I saw that was having a winter myths contest, it seemed the perfect opportunity to finally do this piece. I've been wanting to do a Hades and Persephone work for quite a while. It's one of my favorite myths.

There is a lovely drama in the contrast of black and white , and the stark fruit so red lain like an accusation against the snow.

love the way the black and white bleeds into each other forming the figures. Beautiful too with those tiny spots of colour.

I love this piece, its incredibly gorgeous!  I love the flow, the transition from light to dark.  I like the inclusion of the pomegranate and the look on Hades face.  Very quiet, subtle adoration for his beloved.  I love how you paint their relationship as a loving one and not like that of someone who's kidnapped.  Superb job here hon.

Thank you so much! I'm pretty proud of this piece. It took a while to get it together. I love this myth so much. The feeling and the message. It's not just a story about the seasons, but a story of growing up. About embracing the changes in yourself and growing as a person over time.
