Back on his home world of Etaliari, Ulkhri was a Black Guardian, the most respected warriors of the Isles of Iznugia. His main duty was to protect the people and the Elders, no matter the cost; it might be why he is missing a toe... In Septima, however, Ulkhri does not know what he is. He is convinced it was the Lonely One who brought him here, but for what, he will have to find out himself.

Ulkhri is very proud, and will take offense as soon as he feels disrespected in the slightest. He will especially take offense if someone accidentally mistakes him for a FellBeast; back in the Iznugian Isles, a 'beast' is an Ikrouk who has lost all sense of self, a feral, and is usually used as an insult. Ulkhri is civilized, polite, and a gentleman. Should someone ask him about himself, Ulkhri will not shy away and will gladly share his story; he has nothing to hide, and nothing to be ashamed of. At least, that's what he says... Once you become better acquainted with him, Ulkhri becomes a valuable and trustworthy friend and ally.

In battle, Ulkhri won't run at something he doesn't understand first; if he faces a new foe, he will keep his distance and observe, learning before deciding when to attack. If someone wants to duel him, he will be up for a friendly fight.
