shinys have a ridiculous low rate of happening. Unless you have a way to reduce the odds you'd have to breed possibly thousands of eggs/babies and then you'd have to release them into the wild as you wouldn't have enough storage space. and it's quicker to go through eggs then it is to continuously soft-reset the gameΒ and pick the starter again and again
Β and as Charmanders don't have anywhere in the wild they can be naturally found they have to go somewhere when they're released into the wild. After all if you select "release" in the pc it says "Charmander was released into the wild. Goodbye Charmander!", not "Charmander was sent to Prof Oak"

LOL. This was my brother. He bred so many pokemon, whenever we fought, he was always a pokemon breeder, hahaha. Pretty sure there are a million Totodiles near New Bark Town because of his quest for a top tier Totodile. XD

That's me right now. Except with Zorua. Masuda method, shiny charm, the works. 576 eggs later, and still no shiny in sight. The Alola region is crawling with wild Zorua. I need help. So many conflicting emotions and no end in sight.
