Gaara a la Disney. And hugely OOC.
If anyone is wondering, this is a purely traditional art. I draw with pencil, ink it, and colour it in with Letraset Promarkers, pencils, Fineliners, white and silver gel pens.

Haha! It's so true though, I am mildly disgusted with myself for making a Disney-Gaara hybrid. They're just not compatible. :'D Thanks very much! Despite my disgust I am still very proud of this piece, as a piece of art in itself rather than what it contains. I want to draw more pieces like this with my own characters, not fan art. I think that would be really fun, and have a greater impact on my art development.

That's what I like about it, the overall "work of art" that your hard work produced, rather than "just a fanmade piece". See? Even fanart can be turned into masterpieces!

I already put a tiny drawing of one up in a sketchdump a while back, but I haven't plucked up the courage to do any bigger drawings of him for here lol :') I think I will though soon

This picture is absolutely gorgeous! And I definitely think this is a very good way to portray depression, too. When you suffer from it everyday is difficult to manage, you get brought down by the most insignificant things and it seems to go on in an infinite loop! But as soon as you're past it, everything seems bright, beautiful and you feel like you can do anything as long as there's a smile on your face! Speaking as someone who is finally overcoming depression after (possibly) about 11 years of it developing ...
Always loud music around me XD thankfully my loudest flatmate has moved out so I only have to put up with people playing music next door and in the kitchen (which is normally rather quiet). I'm just glad I don't have to put up with people playing with the electric breakers anymore!
Hope your exams went well and one random little tip- Scientific research has concluded that doodling can help to cure depression. So do research and revision in doodle form and give yourself rewards for every milestone you hit. Trust me- it is the best method I've found so far of completing a daunting task without getting a depression spike, and it's even better/ easier when you start to enjoy the task.
