Description

Frozen is such a fabulous movie ;w;

I was rping with an Anna on Tumblr and we ended up with this whole roleplay revolving around Anna and Elsa competing to see who could be more festive for the holidays. They're both holding half a candy cane dipped in chocolate, by the way.

Anna looks like she's trying to smoke the candy cane, I'm so sorry

pft yes I noticed that a bit after I posted this. It takes talent to smoke a candy cane.

Headcanon: When Anna's bored she steals candycanes and smokes them.

Nobody knows how Anna does it.

I don't get those animation error fiascos. They try to fix them, but like people on tumblr say,

Elsa's hair going through the body vs. Elsa exploding

I think everybody would feel better with the small error than an explosion happening.

(And hi im the Anna who's festivity is definitely winning psh anna with candy canes hanging on her jumper doesn't mean anything to a jumper that SINGS. xDD

If these people are gonna make such a big deal about two little animation errors, then I'd love to see them try to animate Frozen.

And as interesting it would be to witness the character models exploding, I can't say that it would do the movie any favors.

PS: Excuse you I am clearly the very definition of festive. (Oh and sorry for taking forever to respond on the rp I'll get back to that hopefully later today ;u; )

i really wanted to see this movie

...though i've heard mixed thoughts on it

some people were like THE MUSIC. TIS SO AMAZING

and then my other friends hated the movie because there were some animation errors (i believe anna or elsa's hair goes through their body and in another part someone is hugging someone and the dude with the ice's thumb (don't know names ...haven't seen movie (must see movie)) goes through another person...... apparently there are gifs of the mistakes on tumblr... (i dunno))

okay so like the thing with people obsessing over the animation errors is literally the most absurd thing I've witnessed this year. There are two small animation errors, one of which is barely noticeable, and they only last for a few seconds. Also the music is fabulous. Every. Last. Track. You must go see it I promise it will not be disappointing~

it's just that i have a friend who has an entire long argument on how terrible the movie is on disney standards

..

meh

shhhhh no Olaf is just great

like all the movie's previews make him look like that one character that they have to include for like the kids and stuff

but he's actually not that creepy/annoying (usually)

and yes my elsa rp blog is becoming a collection of fabulous screencaps

Finally got around to watching it,

and the movie tis brilliant.

I really liked the non-cliche ending

and the animation errors aren't really that big of a problem

..

the plot holes just bother me

Which plot holes are you referring to?

I mean I know theres the one about how Elsa didn't pack food or anything when she went to the mountain and it's not like theres a supermarket or something up there so she prob would have just died anyway after a few weeks.

nmystery In reply to CeilingSapph [2013-12-30 02:23:47 +0000 UTC]

yesh that one

and ones like

why does elsa have powers... she seems to be the only one with powers and all we know was that she was born with them

and kristoff is just a child that was randomly obsessed with ice

..he didn't have a family or anything

CeilingSapph In reply to nmystery [2013-12-30 18:30:53 +0000 UTC]

I get the feeling that if they explained why Elsa had powers and such, it might have taken away from the message they were trying to convey through her character

(Which is (by my own interpretation, at least) that it's okay to be different, and you should embrace what makes you unique, rather than hide it)

I would imagine that explaining WHY Elsa was different wouldn't have really added much of anything to that message.

But yeah I do agree that plot-wise, it would have been interesting to know, along with how Kristoff ended up as an ice cutter.

that's true

but still....... it wouldn't have hurt to waste 2 minutes to show how she was gifted with ice powers

nmystery In reply to Syntax001 [2014-01-14 03:05:29 +0000 UTC]

yeah......  but it doesn't tell how the powers are in her possession (it's still a super pretty song)

all we know is that she was born with them

and that she is seemingly the only person born with ice powers

POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Actually, in one of the early scripts, the plot was supposed to address a "prophecy" where someone would come to Arendelle one day with ice powers and curse the land with unending winter. It was supposed to be myth that was common knowledge among the people. Turns out, the King and Queen find out their firstborn, Elsa, has ice powers, so they hide her away. Thus, you get most of Frozen's final script from there, plus a little background.

It was eventually scrapped, obviously. But they still have the demos to the music.

Just look up Frozen's OST outtakes, and hopefully you'll find some things that'll content your heart.

IMO, the final script was just as good, but it's always fun to delve into some headcannon.

cool

......yeah .. I mean

it doesn't bother me that much (I don't like to go too deep into the scripts and stuff... with disney movies for me it's more the animation than the story (just here there are more weird/slightly confusing parts in the film they never explain))

but will still check it out
