Probably due to her being modeled after Angelina Jolie, lol. Thanks as always!

Wow... can't wait to see the inks on that piece... such a beautiful girl she reminds me of Lara Croft... no matter, she's a beauty. Would love to color that one.

Ha Ha! I just loved her... and can't wait to color her... If only I could color her real body... and next to thank me she'd probably put a bullet between my eyes...

i usually never have anything critique.. but to me something looks off about her face/head.. it seems to small and her features feel like they're all bunched up at the top of her head, i know she's at an angle but i dunno feels a little off. miss you.

yea, i feel like something's off too. but i thought it was that the head was too big and the features were too small. like the hair, for instance, seems to not be full enough for the size of her head. probably cuz i was working from a reference and the way i adapted certain features for my style of drawing made it look kinda weird. i'll hit u up, i promise. been busy as hell.

And once again you create more heat with Hotrod's characters! Angie looks good here and you nailed all of her details perfectly! Your pencil skills are amazing...is your technique self learned or do you have any books or tutorials that you can recommend to help me improve my pencils/shading/highlights?

Excellent job!

part of it is self learned. part of it is taking advantage of all the drawing nude model classes that my school had to offer (i recommend a lot of that, lol). and another BIG part is just immersing myself in a certain comic artists style that i like until i adapted my own originality from it. that last choice is the best way to go in my opinion. things get really bumpy at first, quality-wise, but that's the perk of starting out young when u copy someone's style; nobody expects u to be even THAT good, so u get the benefit of great encouragement, and u learn all the skills that ur favorite artist learned, without going to their schools or having their art experiences. it really is all about practice and patience.

Cool...thanks for the tips. I would really love to take an art class now...as I've been drawing for almost 20 years, yet I don't have a firm grasp on the basics of figure drawing...I have anatomy issues, I've just recently began to incorporate shading and highlights into my work, and a ton of other issues that I need to work out. I have been using such comic artists as J. Scoot Campbell, Jim Lee, Marc Silvestri, and Bill Maus as inspiration over the years and although my work isn't a direct reflection of theirs, I would like for my stuff to follow the paths that they've set.

Thanks again for the pointers, man!

Dude this is so hot! You got Angie in her non-regulation police uniform. Right now it's a quarter to 5 in the morning and now I really can't fall back asleep after seeing this. I've started her bio already and now this just gave me the kick to finish it. I should have it posted soon. Again C-dubb, you've done it again.

thanx a mill, Hotrod. i enjoy doing these characters immensely. i am so meticulous about how i want these characters to come out, from their expression and accessories, right down to their pose. i love that the characters u designed challenge me in that way. keep it up, man!

Being meticulous is a sign of a good artist and that's what I dig about you. I don't know how I came up with these characters but I'm glad you like them. I got a few LF Punisher theme pics coming up.
