Description i was at a loss this morning as to what work to color before i do my commissions again..

and i saw this fairly old sketch that called me so i picked this... a drawing of one of my old OCs, the time travelling duo Gate and Candy ahh cell shading is intoxicating

Looks like a scene from an anime series.
The character on the left is grumpy and the character on the right seems to be the happy optomistic type who keeps annoying the one on the left through out the series.

The runic circle brushes worked well here. I quite liked your choice of colour scheme as it works really well.
Purple does indeed seem like the colour to show mystery.

hehehe it's all in observing anime art and experimenting on it, have clean linearts and color in simple cellshading

Nice picture. A bit much on the brush use, but that's just my personal taste. It still looks great. I could never get the hang of cell shading myself, but you do great at it.

Btw, in case no one's said it yet or you haven't remembered yet, the brushes are from ~redheadstock I use them, too.
