Description Carrying on with the red wine ....

Setup:
Peacock feather
Waterdrops (placed with an eardropper)
Some fairy dust (very small glitter)
1x black polystyrene board on the right
1x white polystyrene board on the top/left
1x standard tungsten desk lamp
100mm Canon F2.8 macro lens
Tripod & remote shutter release
Daylight white balance
Shot on RAW (with minimal post-processing in CS3)

this is one of the most beautiful pictures ive ever seen! how did you make it focused on the droplet and have bokeh in the background like that?

The fact that I used a large aperture (F2.8) means I had a very thin area for focus - so I selected the focus point to be on the water drop. The bokeh is created because of the shallow depth of field (large aperture) - it's all glitter in the background, as well as another water drop (the very big white spot is actually the other water drop). So it's just about the setting on your camera (and also having a good lens), and positioning your lighting so that the glitter creates little points of light. If I had used a smaller aperture like F8 or higher, the glitter would've been more in focus, thus reducing the bokeh effect.
