Hehehe...good thing I left off the mustache, right? Otherwise he'd be FULL-ON rapist.

This was just a concept sketch, by the way. I actually drew him like this in my comic: [link]

I think it's another way of writing monsieur, which is French word akin to "gentleman".

Thanks!

Interesting. Good drawing! It almost looks like you traced it. (Translation: Its a great drawing.)

Thanks! I've gotten particularly good at the style, so that's why it looks traced.

You know how they saw practice makes perfect? They actually knew what they were talking about! D

Seriously, I've been practicing A LOT (as in DAILY) over the last five years just to get this good...

Man. I must suck then. (I have been doing so ever since show starts. I talkz out of contextz...) I'll just keep practicing.

Catula In reply to MP4Play3r [2011-08-08 04:03:39 +0000 UTC]

As long as you keep practicing, and keep looking for ways to improve the way you draw, that's the secret. I started out by looking at screenshots and doing my best to copy what I saw on the screen. Once I got comfortable with that, I experimented and learned how to form my own poses and stuff. Mind you, I didn't learn how to do this well until I was like 19 or 20. I didn't even take drawing seriously until about then. Been practicing hardcore ever since then, and that's how I've come to where I am now.

It's just a matter of TIME. Lots of time...

Me too. It's good that I actually learned how to draw body shapes at some point. If you compare something you drew today with something you drew four years ago, you'll probably notice that yes, you have improved.

MP4Play3r In reply to Catula [2011-08-08 18:29:35 +0000 UTC]

The way I learned to draw is tracing, so I guess I'll do that and then do my own poses and stuffs.

Catula In reply to MP4Play3r [2011-08-08 19:42:11 +0000 UTC]

Good way to start indeed. Study the shapes you make while tracing, and you'll start to pick up how to do your own poses. And keep experimenting! Draw it from another angle, start drawing it from a different position, etc. The more you keep expanding, the easier it gets.
