Description
My child went through some big story changes since last I posted her.
I won't reveal most of it yet.
And her Kingdom's culture is ever expanding as I build onto it.
I still want to give @/ohpeach credit for pulling me into the ATOC fandom.
And @/Moona-chann for keeping me there.

Arlette is not that much of a sociable person. She wears a smile often which makes her seem friendly, but she's socially awkward. She likes company and other people, but she has a hard time with interaction and seems to lack empathy when she can be quite brutally honest, not always understanding when it's received awfully. She likes to think about things before saying something, of which some pauses are quite painfully long as she gets lost in her thoughts. Her only asset in conversations is the respect she treats everyone with. She often doesn't form opinions about people at first, seeming to draw a blank every time she gazes upon someone. After a few conversations though she might just be silently judging you for who you are, if you don't leave a good impression.
Her passion is ever growing. Yet, her confidence is waning. Though only a select few people can see her most vulnerable sides. In the face of others she would try to appear of the status she is, as per custom to her culture. Certainly, when you find yourself in her kingdom. She, however, can be swayed into a kind and less distant demeanour if you try to unlock that side. Children will be able to see her sweeter side per immediately. She has a week spot for them. Her wish for a family is therefore also great.
She suffers separation anxiety due to her past. But it only got worse when her lover stayed away to wage war. At one point, she lost her unborn child. Not soon after he left her behind to tend to his kingdom and his feelings, which had been a really hard time for her as he had not left in the most affectionate way. And it had not been kind on her anxiety.

History:
Arlette's parents were married to form an alliance between two families competing for the throne. The one family (father's side) being second in line and the other family trying to claim a lost birth right (mother's side). Amaury (father) and Bethany (mother) had a loveless marriage at first, having solely married to please the families. But later on Amaury got swayed by the beautiful and lovable Bethany, who he first deemed a mere commoner. Their relationship started blossoming and Amaury, who used to be rather harsh, started mellowing. The people couldn't have been happier with the reign they were to have. When they had a child, a baby girl, they threw a party for the whole kingdom in celebration of the birth.
It was so that Arlette grew up with loving parents. Her mother made the most time for her, but her father was never out of the picture, despite him having been very busy at first, it seemed to get better later on. They took her on trips. And despite her having the best of tutors, her parents seemed to be eager to do some tutoring themselves. But she lost her parents soon, when she was 14 they got into an accident when they were on their way to visit another kingdom. Presumably. Details about the happening had been blurry and the people who were on that trip seem to not want to talk about it, speak in half truths or outright lies. People speculated about scandal, political murder or a robbery gone wrong. However, it was none of that. It was a personal vendetta of one person against Amaury's being. Which was later discovered.
At 14 Arlette wasn't allowed to rule. The advisers of her parents took over and gave her little say. She was kept quiet with extensive training to become a ruler. So she studied hard determined to take over and believing the advisers would give her reign to her when she was of appropriate age. Her study didn't involve military training, but she convinced generals to teach her anyway. When she became 18 she felt ready to take her kingdom. The advisers refused to give her the power she was born to wield. She took a few years more to ask them again. Their answer stayed the same. Little did the men know she had concocted an ambush with the help of her military buddies and the advisers were captured and given a trial.
Aged 20 the woman held now the power of her kingdom. It was received with mixed feelings, but from then on she tried to rule well. She often has commoners well being on her mind as they provide the most of the economy in the kingdom and she wanted it to thrive for her inhabitants, hoping satisfied people would mean peace for all of them.
