I hope you all do something nice to celebrate today!
Anyways, a lot of details in this picture will not make sense to any of you(such as the sunglasses in dib's hand and Zim's missing contacts, so you can guess that the sunglasses are Zim's). This has to do with a future artwork. I was just thinking about the fireworks and realized that this was perfect to draw for Independance day(since I couldn't come up with anything better XD)

Ive decided that I am going to somehow draw all invader zim characters closer to their style rather than my own. Dib turned out a lot better than I expected. Though the hand on the sunglasses looks strange, im actually quite proud of Dib. Zim on the other hand... i need to practice. I almost never draw him so I obviously suck at him. He looks like he's ready to cry XD. Oh and I tried to play with the lighting on his head, but I couldn't quite figure it out. I also tried to play around with the effects for the fireworks, but this was all that looked decent. Other than those issues I'm kind of proud of the way it turned out.

And last but not least, I should explain Zim's lame arms. Basically, Dib told Zim that he should remove his sunglasses so he could see the fireworks, but Zim refused as it was a part of his disguise. After a little more arguing, Dib steals his sunglasses and holds it behind his back. Zim tries to reach around Dib, but once he gets close, Dib simply kisses him. Once Zim realizes what is happening, he lowers his arms.
