Well. My cousin took the photo so she's the talented one.
I'll tell her that you like her photo, dear.
The poem was also inspired from my significant other, and well I had to express my feelings somehow.
Thank you for your kind words.

I'm in pain every day for almost five years now.
Emotional and physical, and I don't know which is worse.
I don't feel like I'm talented, not at all.
I still look up for english words I don't know in dictionaries. There are just so many words I don't understand. I just read a lot of books I guess, so that helps a bit.
Thank you for your kind words, my friend. I'll tell her.Β

You do a fantastic job with your English.Β
Honestly, I would never know that English wasn't your first language, had you not told me.
Reading and the dictionary are the best tools to learning any language.
English is the most difficult of all languages to learn, because there are so many words that have more than one meaning and are spelled the same way. Also, there are all these words that sound the same, but have different spellings and meanings.Β

Catist In reply to moonfairy1999 [2014-07-26 22:10:18 +0000 UTC]
Thank you, dear.
I worked hard to learn english on my own and still do.
Greek is also a difficult language because there are many letters that sound the same, and the grammar is also tough to learn.Β
But it's my mother language, so..I can manage.

I doubt very seriously if I could ever learn Greek.
I know it is very difficult as well.
I don't know any other languages besides English.

I know Greek and English, and a bit of German, Japanese and Romanian.
I like learning new languages, to be honest.

I am so impressed!! I only know English.
I do know a few words of Spanish, mostly cuss words.
I learned them from my Puerto Rican friend at work, and there are a lot of Mexicans that live around here, too.
I took Spanish in school, but that was a long time ago, and I don't remember that much of it.
How do you say, "I love you" in Greek?
π: 0 β©: 1
Catist In reply to moonfairy1999 [2014-07-27 23:08:09 +0000 UTC]
I'd love to learn spanish some day.
In greek, "I love you" is "Ξ£'Ξ±Ξ³Ξ±ΟΟ".
Sounds somehow like "S aghapo."
π: 0 β©: 1
moonfairy1999 In reply to Catist [2014-07-28 20:45:00 +0000 UTC]
"S aghapo."
I don't know if I could actually SAY that, but I like to know that phrase in many different languages,
In Spanish, it is "te amo."
'My love' in Spanish, is "mi amor"
In French, it is "Je t'aime." Β
And 'My love' in French, is "mon amour"
In German, it's "Ich liebe dich"
And 'My love' is "meine Liebe"
I don't speak these languages, as I say, but do love the Romance languages {Romanian, Italian,Β Portuguese, Spanish, French, and some other sub-categories that I cannot name. Just say Latin is what they are mostly based on }, and the two phrases, 'I love you,' and 'My love' are the two I concentrate on.
I learned these by looking them up on the internet, because I couldn't remember them otherwise. Except for the Spanish and French.
I once learned American Sign Language for the deaf, too, but have forgotten most of that.

I also learn a lot from the internet, I started learning Romanian because of my significant other, German because well, I had to choose a second language at school, and Japanese because I was interested in Japan's culture.
In Romanian, "I love you" is "Te iubesc".
But I also love the phrase "Te ador" which means "I adore you."
I'd love to learn Sign language for the deaf sometime in the future too.

I have a couple of dA friends in Germany, and like you, English is their 2nd language, It's interesting to see the way they interpret the English language. As a teacher, I have always been a stickler for using it correctly, and view it as a tool not to be abused and used incorrectly.
But I make allowances for those who are in other countries, and are using it as a second language.
I can say honestly, by far, you have mastered the use of my native language far better than most non-American, or non-English speaking persons. I am impressed with the ease at which you speak a language that is not your own.
Kudos to you!
Two years, you can deal. I'll help you any way I can, to get through these next two years.
I hated PE, too!!Β

I'm not really that good, I still make ridiculous mistakes..
But, talking with my significant other for almost 4 years in english, reading mostly english books, listening to songs in english and watching movies with english subtitles help me get better.
I still have much trouble with speaking english though, it's way easier just typing or writing the words down.
And thank you, for always caring, my friend.
It means a lot, more than you can imagine.Β
P.E. sucks.

moonfairy1999 In reply to Catist [2014-07-28 23:02:54 +0000 UTC]
Yes, P.E. sucks!!
I was always embarrassed because of my size, and my gimp self.Β
I have one arm that can't straighten all the way out, because of my C.P., and in High School, I had a P.E. teacher who made fun of me in front of the whole class about it.
I was mortified, and ran to the locker room crying.
Yea, he was a classy dude.
He wasn't the only teacher I had, either, that made a mockery of me for the whole class to see.
In the 6th grade, a male teacher mocked the way I talked, and said, "OK. if you're not retarded, or something..."
I also missed a lot of school because of that and other health issues.
In the 6th grade, I think I missed 65 days!
Mean people suck, too!!

I'm sorry that you had to go through this, dear. :c
My maths teacher is also making fun of me, lots of times.
He thinks I'm sort of retarded.
As for P.E., I get tired after walking down the stairs, and I'm the clumsiest person I know.
P.E. was something like torture to me.

I understand. School in general was a daily dose of cruel endless torture for me as well. P.E. was the worst, but it all was.
