I love, love, love, drawing America for some reason, especially his hair. I draw him all over my notes and pretty much any other available surface. He is just such a cutie!

Anyway, this is a semi-realistic "painting" of young America. I chose the date 1696 because that was when the Salutary Neglect began, aka, when England left for a really long time. I don't remember which episode it was, but you know what I mean!

I am kind of 75% happy with this, I guess? I don't know, I love how this turned out, but I also think I could have done better, too...an artist's self-esteem is a complicated thing.

These are the brushes I used for the background. [link] They are super pretty and were very useful!
