Megan and Moon in Summerfest 2012 !

Megan was riding Moon, as usual, but unusually, Moon was having a tough time. She was distracted and sloppy. Her form was never good, but today it was downright dangerous. As Hannah watched the two, she almost wanted to call them off. The images of Moon falling and crushing her rider were flashing through her head.
Caroline could hardly watch the course, she grimaced through the entire round. Something was going on with Megan, she hadn't been riding well at all.

Through the whole course Moon had only one good jump. On the last fence in the triple she tucked her knees high, and for once looked like she wasn't going to crash through the jump.
Whatever had been going on with Megan was translating into her riding--and Moon. And it couldn't stay that way.
