"Fairies aren't real," your parents say. "They're just a story we told you when you were younger to make you compliant and less liable to trust people in the future. It's one of life's lessons. Come on, you ARE twenty-one now."But your parents don't know what dragons do.
Fairies ARE real.
But they don't grant wishes or bless trees or keep your garden gnome-free and they definitely do not leave you money in exchange for your discarded body parts.
In fact, fairies don't really do much besides sort of flit about.
Flit, flit, flit.
But the most important thing that dragons know about fairies is this: fairies just taste great.
The flitting makes them kind of hard to catch, though, so the stumpy-legged breeds of dragon have to rely on friends when they want a snack.
Thousands of fat glowing dragon-tummies can't be wrong.
And if your parents say dragons aren't real, just you show them a half-chewed fairy.
That'll shut 'em up.

On the contrary, there *are* faires that will pay for discarded bodyparts; teeth are more than just bone, think of all those stem cells. These faire are much larger than their edible counterparts, and those teeth are worth a lot more than a penny. Next time stay awake and bargain for some *real* cash.
