Finally got to drawing Kion. Kion is Disney's new canon character for a new series, "the Lion Gaurd" premiering in 2015. He's Simba and Nala's son and younger brother of Kiara. I like his design minus the paw print on his shoulders so I didn't add it, just spots.Kion© Disney

Kion sounds like Kopa to me, even though Kopa was Kiara's older brother, not younger.

Lots of fans speculate that the paw print is a badge made of mud, paint or similar that marks one as a member of the Lion Guard. I personally like the idea that mud prints mark you as a trainee and paint is used as you rise in rank.

hmmm, that makes sense. I thought it was a birthmark. The paw print bothered me because I didn't know what the significance of it was. But if it's meant as a symbol of ranking then I can understand that. Sounds like a good idea if that's what the paw print means.
