An amazing shot for sure. I think what really makes it for me is how you cropped/edited it. He's perfectly ready and just waiting for the right moment, but the prey seem unaware, yet the way the front one's head is slightly turned back makes him seem like he's almost knows what's coming. Also, the muted color of the predator's, the "calm" so to speak, looks wonderful against the slightly red tinged prey's side. Really wonderful capture.

I like the concept of the shot, I think that the deers ear being cut out of the frame spoils it slightly for me.

thank u for the input... i think it would've been nice if the whole head was included but A) the shot would've been too wide for this diptych and B) I didn't think about it (didn't have time to) when i took the shot
