Usually I don't draw requests / free commissions as I'm already super busy with other people's drawing anyway. But I've always said that, if I get multiple requests for the same subject/person to draw, then I'll give it a second thought.That being said, this is a drawing requested by many. For my devwatchers, for you guys and gals! C:

My buddies at Facebook have already seen this
in fact, they've seen a lot more as this preview shows only half of what I've drawn so far. People who watch the show The Vampire Diaries probably know who is missing in this drawing. But do not worry my fellow TVD fans, he will be there too.Blended the pencillines on the left, while the right side of the drawing shows some "rough" work, to show you how I usually draw the pencillines before I blend and redraw the shading (as shown on the left).
Secondly, I can't believe that Paul Wesley (who plays Stefan Salvatore, shown in this drawing with Nina Dobrev as Elena) is 28 because he looks so young! And as I am writing this description at this very moment, I read he turned 28 TODAY. O:

Done with mechanical pencils on A4 size
11 hours of work so far.
The part shown here (slightly smaller than A5): 2 hours
On a side note: I've been thinking about using a censorship for this drawing because of the 1st half which I haven't show yet. But so far everyone agrees it shouldn't be censored, so you'll get to see the whole deal when it's finished 8D oh, what could it be.

I don't watch the show, but I love this anyways. Even though it is a WIP, I believe the contrast of only having one person looks great...you know what I mean? 
Is A4 size like a regular size sheet of paper or bigger?

Haha well not really. It's more like... if at least 10 to 20 people suggest the same subject, which I also happen to like, and I find the time, patience and energy, than I might draw it xD
To take your realistic Spongebob example:
I like the subject but I lack the amount of requests and probably the will to draw it

Well I'm pretty awesome, so I count for at least *thinks* 18 people. So me plus ~nihindula and `athenatt makes 20!
And I hadn't seen that picture before, but I think that is more 'Spongebob in the early stages of an Acid trip' than 'realistic'! It is however, undeniably AWESOME!
And coming back to planet earth now. I imagine that regardless of what you draw, you will always throw your immense talent behind it.

Ahaha, I do suppose it would be rather difficult, I have only really just started realistically drawing, was more into anime, and I am finding it really fun! I have found though, that trying to draw facial that is lighter than the actual skin tone... It is driving me mad a little bit =\ Also... [link] the tattoo on his arm... its also proving difficult to get right!!

I think it looks great in its unfinished state. Especially the contrast between the two. It gives the impression of snow white. The person laying down needs to be awakened.

Actually... the girl will be very light, almost pale looking. So once the drawing is finished, it will have the same effect as you described about the unfinished state! (:

I haven't done anything about the skin texture yet. It's the first layer of pencillines which I will blend, and then I'll add some real skin texture
