They remind me of Hannibal and Will in this painting --I could imagine a storyline of sorts in which Hux is manipulating Kylo Ren when he is vulnerable and unstable, all the while growing close to him as though he were a friend with much empathy.Related content

Would Hux try to manipulate and take advantage of Kylo if the general thought he could get away with it? Probably.
But they openly hate each other, and Hux isn't as smart as he thinks he is. Also, Kylo Ren is a powerful mind-reader. Though even if he didn't have the Force, Kylo is physically strong enough to kill Hux easily.
I think Snoke (deformed hologram guy) would be in that role far more than Hux, since the former manipulated Kylo since he was a boy.
