At first I was really confused by this but now I really think it would have been a cool idea to have the Hawkes siblings available in other ethnicities! Good job!
As a side note, the thumbs don't work if you don't have a core membership; you can always put regular links to your other deviations

Your family's appearance does change in game based on the preset or skintone you choose, but the options are limited even for you hawke so my character in game doesn't even look like how I draw her, let alone the family. I hear they're letting you adjust your family slightly in the new mass effect though, so that's going to be cool.

Uh. Now that I think about it I gave all my Hawkes the same skintone, so I never really noticed o.O
I try to stay as far as possible from new videogames because I tend to get really obsessed if I know something - especially with Bioware's ones (when DAI had still to be released and then got even postdated of a year I was literally going crazy).
Actually I got a membership just to see what this was all about, but aside from maybe a couple of interesting widgets (that you really could even live without) the thumbs are the only useful thing there is. Paying money for stuff like this is annoying, but there's also to consider that deviantart is a large community and the servers must be expensive - and plus they don't ask donations once a year like AO3 or wikipedia.
