I've never considered myself a concept artist by any means, and I know I have much to learn. This was an exercise in color values, sense of space, and getting practice on painting clouds. This also is a sneak peek into the world I am creating for the graphic novel. Notice the city and farmlands on the closer mountain.
I hope to get a lot better at this kind of stuff throughout the year.

I love that you're so well rounded. You've got your cartoony work, but then you are able to paint these beautiful landscapes. Seriously dude, you've got some ridiculous amounts of talent.

Well thank you. I suppose I should say I'm flattered. I feel personally I can still do better, and everything I do right now is a reference point to see where I came from. I've seen what others have done and aspire to try and attain a sliver of what they've attained. Learning is a never ending process. This goes for anyone in this field, or any artistic endeavor.
