It was my friend's birthday a while back(last week?) and i totally forgot because i always forget: it's my nature. I have wanted to make him something for the longest time since it is quite possible that he is one of the major reasons why I draw as well as i do today.The wire(s) are supposed to say "Happy birthday" but it doesn't really look like it unless you squint awkwardly. If you don't, it just looks like a poorly managed cord. I tried to keep the original sketch lines in there to give it a more ABe feel to it; although, it fell quite a ways away from its desired result.
Edit: for those of you who don't know, this is Lain from Serial Experiments Lain being...Lain, i guess.

It's probably because it was hellishly hard. I thought it was going to be a quick in-and-out but it just brought the whole thing to a halt. There is still some inconsistencies in there but they are minimal.

ya I don't even notice them. I can understand when you say you expect something to be simple and quick...but then find out there are things that just don't quite work out.

it took you saying its lain to make me think its actually lain. Shes the only anime character i actually like.
In all the minimization of her comes out rather well and i like the direction.
the cords are legible and obviously for birthday purposes.
its a good standing drawing so i think you could drop the "some thing weird" and title it to its content for more exposure.
