That was a clone. It died, too (in "World War Three" at the hands of Black Adam). The original came back as an undead zombie in the "Blackest Night" saga, but was ripped apart by Beast Boy & then turned to stone by Geo-Force.

Well, the original stayed dead following The Judas Contract (aka season 2). But an identical clone enfused with the DNA of the original's corpse and implanted with false memories that made the clone believe itself to be the original revived, since it also looked and acted perfectly like the original (minus the chain-smoking, having sex with Slade, and general evilness). This "Terra II"--as the initial clone was called--was killed in its battle alongside the Titans against the insane Black Adam in World War Three). Then a second clone Terra, one who was a brunette herorine (which completely deviates from the concepts of the original and the initial clone) appeared breifly, only to disappear into the shadows when the original backstabbing--pardon my verbage--whore came back an undead zombie Black Lantern during the Blackest Night saga (wherein which she was torn apart viciously by Beast Boy, then--in a homage to the cartoon--turned to stone by her brother, Geo-Force).
