Description
A gift for the wonderful MLPfan0276 ! She made a piece about the Hanahaki Disease (a fictional disease where unrequited love leads the one in love to grow flowers/flower petals in the lungs and only ends when the victim dies or their love is returned--it is VERY painful) with Donatello and I'm unsure if the person causing the disease was April or Abby so you can see this picture two ways:1) Abby is comforting Donnie about his one-sided love
2) Abby is too oblivious to see that Donnie loves her
But I do hope I drew this well enough and sorry for being lazy with the lineart (I liked the sketch better so I colored the sketch and fixed it up slightly) I also REALLY hope I drew Abby okay considering I put her in a sweater because at first glance of the reference it looked like she was wearing a sweater and then upon further inspection I realized it was just her fur...yikes. I AM SO SORRY FOR THAT!!!

I personally like the IDW comics and 2003 series, April O'Neil, the best, but I understand why people would want to ship Donatello and April in 2012 series. (although I do think she strung him along and her personality varies a lot)

Don supposedly had a little "crush" on April in 2003 series, but those shippers failed to give canon evidence. I almost got into a fight with one on TMNTpedia. XD This user totally ignored my opinion that 2003 Don and April were only very close friends and have a sibling relationship. XD

I assume they wanted their claim to be "correct" then? But I do really prefer the turtles to see April as strictly family; needless to say I was a little thrown off by Donnie's crush in the 2012 series. Although it's one-hundred-percent fine for people to ship what they want, I just don't see the turtles being included as one of April's love interests...Casey Jones will forever hold that spot for me.

Funny is this user popped up when i wrote my headcanon about 2003 Don. Some people get really offended if you dare to headcanon one of the turtles as gay. XD And the annoying thing was that this user always replayed with a " 
Casey Jones will forever be my choice for April. He is also a great character and best friend of the turtles. Especially Raphael. Donnie's crush in the 2012 series felt forced for me. Though originally Raph is the one who was supposed to have a crush on April. But at the end they picked Don. XD

I believe everyone and anyone has the right to express their own thoughts/headcanons and some people can be a little...cross (??) When you go against their own opinions and headcanons. But some people don't ignore them and that can create a huge conflict, so BIG KUDOS to you for being the bigger person!!! (Sincerely)
I love Casey and April's relationship. They're so different and I LOVE IT!! But Raph and April? I personally can't see it. Although I'm pretty sure the 2014 movie hinted at it (but I mean, the 2014 is the worst adaption in my opinion) But the 2012 April was just a bad representation of her I feel (and that's saying something considering Megan Fox was casted as her in 2014) and I know people who love her, and that's good for them, really, but 2012 April is my least favorite next to Megan Fox.

2012 April is a Mary Sue in my opinion and reminds me of Venus de Milo. Don is the only thing i like about the 2014 movies. My favorite movie is the 2007 one that everyone hates. XD

I can't think of anything I dislike about him, actually. He has a very complex personality and is more passive than other adaptions. I really like that he struggles with his emotions (that sounds kinda bad) because it creates a strong character sometimes.
I didn't like Venus De Milo all that much, but I did like the thought of a female mutant kicking ass. (Alopex is my favorite female mutant ever) Although I have a hunch that she was just used as a plot and I feel as if she should've earned her right to be apart of the family instead of being automatically excepted. And I mean....why the boobs?? Like...is she supposed to produce milk or....?? XD
I liked the 2007 movie. It could've used more story and I don't like that Mikey and Donnie weren't as "included" like Raph and Leo, but that's just me being nitpicky. The 2014 movies were just an old story told in a modern way but I really do like Donatello in that one too!!

2003 Don is emotionally unavailable, “here i made you a toy so you can leave me alone”, runs away from opening up about his problems like a pig runs from a knife, if a subject doesn’t interest him then he doesn’t give a shit. XDD
Yes, giving reptiles boobs and hair is not realistic. Turtles lay eggs, so they don't need boobs to feed their babies. XD Sadly Venus was only here to make the brothers drool over her. XD
Yes, Donnie was even more neglected than Mikey, barely in the 2007 movie. I loved his personality in this movie and how sarcastic he was on the phone with the costumer. XD

I mean, if an amphibian/reptile OC was human before their mutation, then the artist has the right to argue that their OC would have those features. But Venus just had no distinctive personality and it was so FRUSTRATING. (But I redesigned Mei Pieh Chi if you're interested: www.deviantart.com/carolann17/… )
But basically, Donatello's personality is likeable throughout all the adaptions. My gosh. He is just the likeable nerd...and I'm strangely okay with that.

I feel the same about female turtles with breasts. It gives me shivers to imagine the breasts lifting up the plastron and the plastron is connected to the skin. *shivers* But flat chested female turtles oc's are perfectly fine for me. 👍👍😂
