I dunno.I was half doodling to shake off the art block, half needing to practice cats, cos I SUCK at them.
I did a few different styles, nothing special or serious.
Sasori, despite being my least favourite Akatsuki member is my favourite kitty.
Yeah, the backgrounds were an afterthought. Can you tell? =3

I recall reading that if he doesn't perform the ritual frequently enough, he will indeed die since it's the key to his immortality. So... he'll die eventually, even if he probably isn't yet.
