As I mentioned in another area regarding this, it reminds me of a Da Vinci drawing; though considering Andrea del Verrocchio, Botticelli, Da Vinci came after one another, it makes sense that del Verrocchio would inspire Botticelli, and then flow into Da Vinci by means of copying.

Anyway. This is a lovely rendition. My only critique would be for the face to be a little brighter and the shadows not quite so stark. Your other portraits of women are a little softer than this in the face, and I think where it "bothers" me the most is on the left side of her face (her left, not ours), where details get a little muddled. Maybe it's the photo or the way it scanned?

Overall I do still enjoy the drawing!

It's interesting as this subject was drawn by Davinci and Verrocchio, quite famously, I was influenced by a trip to the british musemu's drawing exhibition and decided to use the portrait as the hair shapes reminded me of the patterns in wheat. My idea was to incorporate floral forms with the portraiture.. and yes it is an overworked piece but quite an important one to me as it sparked the beginning of working with tea and ink

That's actually really awesome that this sparked your use of tea and ink. It's interesting to see where you've started and how you're utilizing the medium! You can really see the transformation as you've gotten more practice with it.

Though now that I'm looking through your gallery again and actually seeing when this was originally posted, this looks like it came before the other drawings I'm thinking of. So, I suppose you can disregard the comment! It popped up in my notifications (DA watch.. whatever it's called) recently so I thought it was more recent!

I'm glad to have been able to view your work it was a pleasure. I hope I get to the point of producing as many great pieces as strong as all of yours are. You have a very natural touch. Not over done yet I can tell by your works in progress you go through many changes and layers to your pieces. I don't know how to comment with some great comment I'm sure I can't really enlighten you or tell you something you don't allready know about your art. But I feel your stuff is an organic layers of wise soul. Very well felt.

That's cool, I knew it looked like either a Da Vinci or Botticelli drawing/painting.

very awesome.
the composition reminds me of John Baizley's work to some degree, although unfinished.
honestly the first time I've ever heard of someone using tea and ballpoint pen ink.
the blue is my favorite.

woah this is really bizarre... i love it!
i love the ink work on the face, it's really well done, and the colour choice is good too, the only thing i would say to do different would be the dark sahding around the eyes, it looks good, but i think it takes away from the shading on the nose slightly, and the eyes look too sunk into her skull because of it, it's not a huuuuuge thing to change, but if you were wanting some crit then that is what i would say
