My god... wow..
You did an incridble job showing his
monster side.. At first I found it hard
fav'ing something that has anything to do
with Hitler(many members of my family
had been murdered in the holocost )
but at second thought I couldn't do anything
but adding it to my favourite and adding a comment.
You are very talanted.

You are a very talented artist, this work is absolutely great!
But!
I feel very sorry to see how mass-media can influence people's emotions and go further into developing their inspiration for art. Adolf Hitler was not the absolute evil, the bloodthirsty vampire or the murderer of millions. I wouldn't want a debate of the historical facts, the holocaust or the life and deeds of Hitler. All I do is point out that the media creates our symbols, our thoughts, our values, tells us what to hate and what to love, who is bad and who is good. One random example is Santa Clause, known to everybody today as portrayed by the media - an old man in red clothes, while actually Coca-Cola had this idea in one of their very first Christmas commercials. Before that, Santa wore green clothes. This is a fact, which can easily be sustained doing a quick search on the internet.
Some of the comments here are almost hilarious:
"displaying the darker side of Hitler's character which wasn't portrayed in the media"
- I'm sure the media only portayed his good side.
"I challenge you to laugh after visiting Auschwitz or just after having seen "Night and fog" from Alain Resnais"
- Auschwitz was almost entirely reconstructed in the 50s, based on plans that differed from the original constructions. Not to mention that the label of being a 'camp' and the media with all the movies and books and everything contributed 100% to making people see this place as they do now.
All you know is what they tell you.
All you know is what they allow you to know.
"So it was a terrible ideological war too, leading people to death"
- Take a look at what is happening in the Middle East right now. USA attacks Afghanistan, Irak, soon more other. If the 911 'attacks' seem to be a good reason to invade Afghanistan, then what did the Iraki people ever do the Americans?
"it's not because you're german that you have to pay the price for the others but it's part of your history too"
- What about the Americans. Do you have any museums or places to commemorate the deaths of millions of native americans?
Thei were ruthlessly killed, their lands stolen, their rights taken - do I see ONE movie/news/book that portrays that? It was one of the biggest genocides in history. A quite recent history.
And when they say Hitler killed (how many are now, I mean the 'official' number?) 20 million jews, I'm asking you how many native americans did you great-grandfathers killed? I'll tell you: all of them.

Man, you have a point.
But that doesn't mean that Hitler was THE "good" boy. She was a F*cking murderer just like Bush.
See ya!

I do believe there are evil people in this world, demons if you will, who perhaps did not start off that way but are very much past the point of being a good or even just troubled person. Hitler WAS a demon and this picture is wonderful. It totally knocks all the stupid satirical and even admiring works about him on this site out of the fucking water. Great job.

Looks like everyone like the way you portrait the "evil" of Hitler (because of the political beliefs, I think thats stupid, im going to talk about you draw) , I think you fail in the way you did the eyes, dont look like Hitler at all, see this pic: [link]
You probably wanted to exaggerated it, bacause was more evil, but thats makes him looks like someone else. The nose is ok, but the mouth you could have done it better, see the lips and the expresion he had. You exaggerated the ears, but he didnt have big ears, I dont know why you did that. I like the way you paint, the tecnique is quite interesting, keep the good work.

I kind of understand what some of you are trying to say here, and I've rather enjoyed reading this intellectual discussion.
Kudos to the artist who had the courage and audacity for taking up this project. The portrayal of Hitler here certainly makes me want to gag, though I mean that in a good way as it looks like that was the reaction you were going for. The color and composition of this painting sparks the feeling of severe illness in my gut. The off centering of the image also conveys a feeling of uneasiness and foreboding, despite the fact that it is a painting of Hitler himself. Although this image is extremely well done, I cannot favourite it because it is not something I'd personally enjoy looking at over and over again on my userpage. I hope you understand.
Now for a bit of nonsense that I'm sure no one will read:
Such atrocities seem doomed to repeat itself regardless. Millions of people have been slaughtered, mutilated and tortured in the hands of various political icons throughout history. Africans, Native Americans, Jews, Early Christians and countless others have been killed mercilessly. The only difference between some political leaders and the others is that now some are praised for their intellect and deeds exclusively while ignoring the travesties that they committed and took apart of. Likewise others are seen for their travesties and not for their intellect. I'm not sure if that was the right word to use there.
In the case of Hitler, yes, he was a disgusting man who sparked the fire which brought about the deaths of millions of Jews, however he had also successfully brought Germany out of the extreme poverty it was in. (I do not like Hitler, that goes without saying, so please do not spam me with your "OMG YOU NAZI !!11oneone," Crap) Having been blamed for WW1, Germany had become the scapegoat for other nations as a whole. This brought about despair and frustration from the German people to the point where some argue that a spark would have ignited regardless. Although such things can never be proven, it can never be dis-proven either.
Despite what some people on here say, however, I believe it is important to look at all sides of the issue.
Personal thoughts:
First off, please don't flame a person for having an opinion. I believe this artist knew that this image would bring about controversy and some debate which is a "GOOD" thing. Through the pursuit of understanding the issues do we ourselves become better individuals.
Second, "only" through the pursuit of knowledge and understanding will such marks in history cease to exist. I see a lot of people typing "Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it," though I see this as a pretty bland statement. A person could have read a history book inside and out and still repeat such horrible crimes. Even though people may know what took place, they can still be ignorant without investigating the issues themselves.
Third, Only through bettering ourselves, one person at a time, will dawn true Utopia.

Ok i like the composition & the blood neck-tie. in no way do i find this offensive, Hitler was a real person who controlled most of Europe in the 30-40s, yes he did kill about 11 million people; yes 6 million of them were Jews. Just remember he was only a warped and twisted little man who in his mind believed that the Jews were evil and needed to die. even though these events took place people (Iran's president) do no believe it took place.

first, i love the piece. beautiful work!!
second, i just gotta say something about the whole Hilter talk goin' on here. could we please just drop it. Hilter happened. he did some stuff that pissed people off but now he's dead. so get over it! you could argue this for years and it wouldn't make a lick of difference. but i'm gonna go against what i just said and put my two cents in. bad things are not always done by bad people. bad things can be done with good intent. but it's all relative, so nobody's right.
once again, awesome and stunning work!!
