Good evening, Carla. A happy birthday shout to you from California, where I'm nine hours behind you. I hope you celebrate well, and that your birthday celebration continues through every day of the year ahead. This is a wonderful painting. The composition is perfect, as is the palette of muted warm color. I think the most compelling aspect is the 4-part gaze of eyes -- the girl, the two birds and implicitly we who gaze into and experience the wonder and mystery. Thank you for sharing your artistic vision.
