Growing up in the 60's, for me it was the Beatles not the Stones, John (in my Gone before their Time folder) not Paul ... I like your Beatles sketches also.

Looks great! My advice is don't be afraid to go dark (unless grayish is what you're aiming for ). Your drawings will look a whole lot better

But if the scanner is the one making your drawings look grayish you should check out this tutorial [link] on editing your drawings.

Thanks, and I appreciate the advice but to be honest I'm kinda rebelling against prefection, lol. Sounds a bit soft I know but I'm finding myself a bit turned off by everything becoming so manicured and really like to leave stuff the way it turns out. I do a lot of graphic work for others which has to be just so and find that just letting my own stuff do as it likes is very relaxing, theraputic even...so it suits me fine this way.
