Hi all! Long time no post… (sorry about that)Just thought I’d share something I’ve been working on recently. I’ve been wanting to experiment with colouring and try out more of a painted style so decided to use my Aphrodite ix lines from a while back as a guinea pig. I’ve been looking for an excuse to colour this myself for a bout 2 years so thought it was the perfect opportunity.
Anyway, any comments/ feedback on this would be appreciated!!

You may be thinking of an amazing artist but this version was based on the original series created by David Finch back in the early 2000's I think. Loved the original series, well worth a look if you get the chance

Thanks thats means a lot from an artist of your standard!! I've done a little basic comic colouring from time to time on personal commissions but that was my first go at digital paints. haha, I've still go a loooong way to go before i get anywhere near your level but will have fun learning
Maybe I was being unrealistic with how long i thought it would take me... Id be interested to know roughly how long you spend on your artwork??

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the encouragement and advice! I think I’m just going to take as much time as I need to make sure it comes out how I want it to and hope I speed up as I learn more. I look forward to seeing more of your work too... I find art like this really inspirational and a good marker for where I’d like to be one day.

The design is a classic one... She's gorgeous and half dressed, but I would like to ask why is green hair so popular in fantasy/anime character?

I'm glad you think so, thanks!! Not sure why green hair is popular... I guess it goes away from nature so ties in with the more futuristic/ robotic feel. I love this character design... David finch really knew wat he was doing

Not sure how old gears of war is but I think Aphrodite ix was created in the 90's.... so I'm guessing she got there first?
